Every 'Great' society falls...our time is coming...and it's probably sooner than one thinks.
Think about the credit crunch, the housing market, the never seen before Fed rate cuts weeks apart, the rebate...to name a few things.
The elite few have made a country that isn't responsible in it's finances and is 'highly leveraged'. All in the name of profit, with unfortunately is thought in much shorter terms than it should be.
I really believe that we are headed for a depression like event in the next ten years, unless the attitude of the country changes.
I read the Wikipedia article on the Great Depression the other night. Good stuff, well written. The article describes underlying dynamics that led to the depression that are frighteningly similar to what we see today.
